Pasqua Lake sits on the lake of the same name in the Qu'Appelle Valley. It began as an organized hamlet, incorporated on 1 November 1985, and brought together a string of lakeside communities: Bence Beach, Bolingbrook Place, Braumberger Beach, Qu'Appelle Beach, Mapleview, Pasqua, Pasqua Lake, Spanier Beach and Wambach.
On 1 January 2024 Pasqua Lake took the next step and incorporated as a resort village. Its first council, made up of a mayor and three councillors, was chosen in the community's first election, held on 29 July 2023.
